Let's Celebrate Halloween! We're taking a field trip to North Run Farm to play in the Corn Maze, visit the animals on the farm and pick our own pumpkins! Happy Halloween!

"Nobody's Perfect"
Kennedy Center

Let's go see a show in Washington, D.C.!! We're going to see "Nobody's Perfect" at the Kennedy Center! This entertaining musical stars several young actors with an interesting plot. Students will be picked up and dropped off at Johnston Square Elementary and lunch will be provided.

Trip to Longwood Gardens

School's out for Election Day!!! So we're going to Longwood Gardens for the day! We'll leave Johnston Square at 7:45 and spend the day investigating the water cycle and touring their vast arboretums. We'll also be having lunch in the beautiful gardens and return to the students home between 2 and 3 pm.

Thanksgiving Dinner!!

Let's Celebrate Thanksgiving Early!!! We're having a Turkey Dinner for all the BUGS students, staff and families in the School Cafeteria. Come enjoy the delicious food, fun and entertainment from the Dance Component! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

Trip to the National Aquarium of Baltimore

It's a half day of school, so let's go to the Aquarium and spend the afternoon with the sharks and dolphins! We'll have lunch with the fish and return the students home between 2 and 3 pm.

Let's go view some ART!!! We're off to the BMA to see the modern art exhibit with a focus on works by Georgia O'Keefe. Make sure you earn your BUGS bucks for this one!!

The Nutcracker

The holidays are here and it's time to see the Nutcracker Ballet!! We're going to the Meyerhoff to enjoy the beautiful dancing and wonderful music of the Nutcracker. Students will be picked up and dropped off at Johnston Square Elementary and lunch will be provided!

Parent Healthy Cooking Class!!
For the Love of Food

6:00 - 9:30 pm
Calling all BUGS parents and guardians!! "For the Love of Food" is offering a healthy cooking class for all BUGS parents and guardians. We will pick up the interested parents and guardian at Johnston Square Elementary at 6 pm and return by 9:30. Any interested parents should contact a BUGS staff member to sign up or complete the attendance form sent home with your student.

Come view first hand the accomplishments of the BUGS students. The students staff booths representing the four academic components and sell produce, home-made dips and sauces, and artwork. They will also hold a performance showcasing what they have learned in Creative Dance. Come join the FUN!

BUGS Farmer's Market
Living Classrooms Foundation

10 am - 1 pm
The BUGS program is hosting its 11th Annual Farmer's Market. The students will be selling thousands of plants they have grown, food they have made, and artwork they have created. They will also hold a dance performance wearing costumes they have created. The proceeds from the Market help support annual camping trips and go to students as paychecks for all their work!! Come enjoy the Produce!!
